To clear a paper jam, first turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the front cover and gently remove any jammed paper. Make sure no scraps are left inside. Close the cover and restart the printer.
Check if the toner cartridge is empty or not installed correctly. Replace or reinstall the cartridge if necessary. Ensure that the print settings are correct and not set to print blank pages.
The Xerox WorkCentre 4118 can be connected to a network using an Ethernet cable. Connect the printer to your network router and configure the network settings in the printer's control panel.
Open the printer's front cover and pull out the toner cartridge. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging, shake it gently to distribute the toner, and then insert it into the printer until it clicks into place. Close the cover.
Streaks or lines may indicate that the toner cartridge is low or the drum is dirty. Try cleaning the drum unit or replacing the toner cartridge. Also, check for any obstructions inside the printer.
To perform a factory reset, access the printer's menu and navigate to the 'Admin Settings'. Select 'Restore Defaults' to reset the printer to its original factory settings.
Regularly check and replace the toner cartridge and drum unit as needed. Clean the printer's interior and exterior monthly to prevent dust buildup. Perform a full maintenance check every six months.
Place the document on the scanner glass or in the document feeder. Select 'Scan' from the control panel, choose your desired scan settings, and press 'Start'. The scanned document will be saved to the designated location.
Ensure that the toner cartridge is compatible with the Xerox WorkCentre 4118 and properly installed. Remove the cartridge, clean the contacts, and reinstall it. If the issue persists, try using a new cartridge.
Ensure you're using the correct paper type and quality. Clean the printer's drum and rollers. Update the printer drivers and adjust the print settings for higher quality output.
