To reset the Sandstrom SID60W15N Dishwasher, press and hold the 'Start/Reset' button for about 3 seconds until the display shows resetting process. Release the button, and the dishwasher should reset.
First, check the filter and drain hose for any blockages. Clean them if necessary. Ensure the drain hose is properly connected and not kinked. If the problem persists, inspect the dishwasher pump for debris.
To clean the filter, remove the lower dish rack, locate the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher, twist it counterclockwise, and lift it out. Rinse it under warm water and use a soft brush to remove any debris. Reinstall the filter by placing it back and twisting it clockwise.
Ensure the dishwasher is plugged in and the door is fully closed. Check if the control panel is locked; if so, unlock it by holding the lock button for a few seconds. Verify that the water supply is turned on and that a cycle has been selected.
Make sure the spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely. Use the recommended amount of detergent and ensure it is suitable for the water hardness in your area. Load the dishes correctly to avoid obstruction of the spray arms.
Open the dishwasher door and locate the rinse aid dispenser. Turn the adjustable dial to the desired rinse aid level, which ranges from 1 to 6. Close the compartment once the adjustment is made.
It is recommended to clean the dishwasher at least once a month. This includes cleaning the filter, wiping down the door seals, checking the spray arms, and running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner.
Ensure that dishes are properly loaded and not touching the spray arms. Check for any loose items inside the dishwasher. Inspect the spray arms for obstructions and make sure they are securely attached.
Ensure that the rinse aid is filled to the appropriate level, and select a drying cycle if available. Loading dishes with proper spacing can also improve air circulation and enhance drying efficiency.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent that is suitable for your water hardness level. Tablets, powder, or gel detergents can be used, but avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive sudsing.
