To start the Husqvarna P520D, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the cutting deck is disengaged, and the throttle is set to full. Insert the key and turn it to the start position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the engine oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and cleaning the cutting deck, checking tire pressure, and ensuring the battery is charged.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the battery is charged, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and verify that all safety switches are functioning correctly.
Use diesel fuel that meets the specifications outlined in the operator's manual. Ensure that the fuel is clean and free from contaminants.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever or knob, and set it to the desired position. Refer to the manual for specific instructions related to your model configuration.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is activated. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and adjust or replace it as necessary.
The air filter should be inspected before each use and replaced if it shows signs of dirt or damage. Generally, it should be replaced every 100 operating hours or annually.
Uneven cutting can be caused by a dull or damaged blade, improper tire pressure, or an uneven deck. Make sure to sharpen or replace the blade, check tire pressures, and level the deck.
Clean the mower thoroughly, perform all required maintenance, add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered location. Disconnect the battery and charge it periodically.
Maintain the engine by regularly changing the oil and air filter, keep the blades sharp, ensure proper tire inflation, and avoid excessive idling to improve fuel efficiency.
