To start the Stihl RMA 510, ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Press and hold the safety button on the handle, then pull the activation lever towards the handle to start the mower.
If the mower won't start, check that the battery is charged and installed correctly. Ensure there are no obstructions in the blade area and that the safety key is inserted properly.
Regularly inspect the cutting blade for damage. Sharpen the blade with a file or have it professionally sharpened if it becomes dull. Always disconnect the battery before performing maintenance.
Charge the battery after each use to ensure optimal performance. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to about 60% and store it in a cool, dry place.
After each use, remove grass clippings from the deck and blades with a brush or cloth. Avoid using water directly on the motor or battery compartment to prevent damage.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located near the wheel to raise or lower all four wheels simultaneously to the desired height setting.
Check if the blade is dull or damaged and sharpen or replace it as necessary. Also, ensure the cutting height is set appropriately for the grass length.
It's recommended to avoid using the mower in wet conditions as it can lead to clumping and may pose safety risks. Wait for the grass to dry before mowing.
Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Check for obstructions in the blade area that may cause the motor to work harder. If issues persist, the battery may need replacement.
Clean the mower thoroughly and remove the battery for storage. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered area and charge the battery to about 60% before storing it separately in a cool place.
