To set up your Denon AVR-S900W, connect it to your TV using an HDMI cable. Then, power it on and follow the on-screen setup assistant to configure your speaker system and network settings.
First, check all cable connections between the AVR and speakers. Ensure the correct input source is selected. If the issue persists, try resetting the AVR by holding down the "Power" button and the "Tuner Preset Ch +" button simultaneously.
Press the "Setup" button on the remote, navigate to "Network" > "Connection", and select "Wireless". Follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network using the on-screen keyboard.
To update the firmware, ensure your AVR is connected to the internet, press "Setup" on the remote, navigate to "General" and select "Firmware". Choose "Update" and follow the instructions on the screen.
To factory reset, turn off the AVR. Then, while holding the "Power" button, press and hold the "Tuner Preset Ch +" and "Tuner Preset Ch -" buttons until "Initialized" appears on the display.
The Denon AVR-S900W does not support Bluetooth transmission to headphones. However, you can use a Bluetooth transmitter connected to the headphone jack for this functionality.
First, verify all HDMI cables are properly connected and not damaged. Ensure the TV and AVR support each other's HDMI versions. Try a different HDMI port, and check the AVR's video settings in the setup menu.
The AVR-S900W supports Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, and other standard formats such as Dolby Digital and PCM. Check the manual for a complete list of supported formats.
Connect the included Audyssey microphone to the AVR and place it at ear level in your main listening position. Press "Setup" on the remote, go to "Speakers" > "Audyssey Setup", and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate.
Connect your turntable to the AVR using an RCA cable. If the turntable lacks a built-in preamp, you will need to connect it through an external phono preamp before connecting to the AVR's analog inputs.
