To perform a factory reset, power off your laptop. Turn it back on and press F8 repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears. Select 'Repair Your Computer,' then follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system to factory settings.
First, ensure the laptop is charged. Try a different power outlet or adapter. If it still won't turn on, perform a hard reset by removing the battery (if possible) and holding the power button for 15 seconds. Reconnect everything and try again.
To improve battery life, reduce screen brightness, disable unnecessary background applications, and use battery saver mode. Regularly update your BIOS and drivers to ensure optimal power management.
Your laptop may be slow due to a full hard drive or too many startup programs. Free up space by deleting unnecessary files and disable startup programs using Task Manager. Adding more RAM can also improve performance.
Click on the network icon in the system tray, select the desired Wi-Fi network, and click 'Connect.' Enter the network password if prompted. Ensure the Wi-Fi is enabled using the function keys if you encounter issues.
Ensure the touchpad is enabled by checking the touchpad settings in the Control Panel. Update the touchpad driver via Device Manager or download the latest driver from Dell's support website.
Turn off the laptop and remove the battery. Unscrew the back panel and locate the RAM slot. Carefully remove the existing RAM and insert the new RAM module. Reassemble the laptop and power it on to ensure it's recognized.
Ensure the vents are not blocked and clean any dust using compressed air. Use the laptop on hard surfaces for better airflow. Consider using a cooling pad and ensure BIOS and drivers are up to date.
Use the HDMI port to connect the second monitor. Once connected, press Windows + P to select the display mode (Duplicate, Extend, etc.). Adjust settings in Display Settings if necessary.
First, check for any physical obstructions or debris under the keys. Restart the laptop. If the issue persists, update the keyboard driver or run the Windows keyboard troubleshooter to diagnose and fix the problem.
