To connect your Brother MPrint Printer to a wireless network, access the printer's settings menu, select 'Network', then 'Wireless LAN'. Choose your network from the list and enter the password if prompted.
First, ensure that your printer is turned on and connected to the same network as your computer. Check for any error messages on the printer's display and ensure there is enough paper and ink. If issues persist, restart both the printer and your computer.
Visit the Brother support website, download the latest firmware for your model, and follow the instructions provided. Connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable during the update process.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the print head, ensuring the paper feed rollers are clean, checking for any software updates, and replacing ink or toner cartridges when they are low.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Carefully remove the paper tray and any visible jammed paper. Open the printer cover and gently remove any stuck paper, making sure not to tear it. Reassemble the printer and turn it back on.
Ensure your printer supports mobile printing and is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device. Use the Brother iPrint&Scan app or AirPrint (for iOS devices) to send documents to your printer.
Check the ink or toner levels and replace them if necessary. Run a print head cleaning cycle through the printer's maintenance menu to clear any clogs. Ensure that the correct paper size is selected in the print settings.
Place the document on the scanner glass or in the document feeder. Select 'Scan' on the printer's control panel, choose your scan settings, and select 'Start'. The scanned document can be sent to a connected computer or saved to a USB drive.
To perform a factory reset, access the printer's settings menu, select 'All Settings', then 'Initial Setup', and choose 'Reset'. Confirm your choice by selecting 'Factory Reset'. Note that this will erase all customized settings.
If the 'Toner Low' warning appears, prepare a replacement toner cartridge for installation. You may continue printing until the print quality deteriorates, but replace the cartridge soon to avoid interruptions.
