To set up the Vivotek VS8400 V2 Server, connect the power supply, attach network cables, and then access the server via its web interface using the default IP address. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure network settings and add cameras.
Check the power connection and ensure the power adapter is working. If the server still does not power on, try a different power outlet or adapter. If the issue persists, contact Vivotek support.
Download the latest firmware from the Vivotek website. Access the server's web interface, navigate to the maintenance section, and use the firmware update option to upload and install the new firmware.
To reset the server, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until the status LED blinks. Release the button and wait for the server to reboot with factory settings.
Ensure the network bandwidth is sufficient and check for network congestion. Optimize video settings by reducing resolution or frame rate and ensure the server firmware is up to date.
Access the server's web interface, navigate to the camera management section, and use the 'Add Camera' wizard to detect and configure new cameras. Ensure cameras are on the same network.
