To calibrate the tuning function, press the CALIB button, then use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the calibration setting between 410 Hz and 480 Hz.
Ensure the volume is turned up using the VOLUME buttons. If the problem persists, check if headphones are plugged in, as this might mute the speaker.
The TM-50TR does not save settings after power off, so you will need to reconfigure your preferred settings each time you turn it on.
Activate Sound Back by pressing the SOUND button. Play a note on your instrument; the TM-50TR will detect and produce the closest pitch through the speaker as a reference.
Open the battery compartment on the back by sliding the cover off, remove old batteries, and insert two new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
Check the battery orientation and ensure they are not depleted. If using an adaptor, verify it is connected properly and functioning.
Ensure the calibration setting matches the source frequency of your instrument. Additionally, minimize background noise for more accurate detection.
Press the TEMPO button and use the UP or DOWN arrows to adjust the tempo in single BPM increments or hold down for faster adjustment.
Replace the batteries with new ones or check the power source if using an adaptor. Ensure the display contrast is set appropriately using the menu settings.
Press the TAP button at the desired pace to set the tempo. The TM-50TR will calculate the average interval and set the metronome tempo accordingly.
