To start the Husqvarna P535HX, first ensure that the battery is charged and connected. Insert the key into the ignition, press the brake pedal, and turn the key to the start position. Release the key once the engine starts.
If the mower does not start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, and inspect the spark plug for damage. Additionally, ensure that all safety switches are engaged properly.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each season, whichever comes first.
Husqvarna recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 40°F (4°C) and SAE 5W-30 for colder temperatures. Always check the manual for the most up-to-date recommendations.
To sharpen the blades, first disconnect the spark plug for safety. Remove the blade by loosening the bolt holding it in place. Use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade, maintaining the original angle. Reinstall the blade securely.
To clean the cutting deck, raise the mower to access the underside. Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high pressure to prevent damage to the deck components.
Uneven cutting may be caused by dull blades, improper deck leveling, or tire pressure discrepancies. Check and adjust tire pressure, ensure the deck is level, and sharpen or replace blades if necessary.
Excessive vibration can result from unbalanced blades, loose parts, or debris stuck in the mower. Inspect the blades for damage, tighten any loose parts, and clear any debris from the deck.
For off-season storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery. Store it in a dry, sheltered area. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting and replacing the air filter, sharpening or replacing blades, checking tire pressure, and cleaning the mower after use.
