To perform a factory reset on your Dell Chromebook 3400, go to Settings > Advanced > Reset settings. Click on 'Powerwash' and then 'Restart'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
If your Chromebook won't turn on, make sure it's charged. Try a hard reset by holding the Refresh key and pressing the Power button. Release both keys and check if the device turns on.
To update your Chromebook, ensure it's connected to Wi-Fi. Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and installed automatically.
Your Chromebook may be running slow due to multiple open tabs or apps. Close unused tabs, clear browsing data, and restart your device. Consider disabling unnecessary extensions.
Click on the status area in the lower right corner, select 'Not Connected' or the Wi-Fi icon, and choose your network from the list. Enter the password if prompted.
To print, ensure your printer is compatible with Chromebooks and is on the same network. Open the document, press Ctrl + P, select your printer, and click 'Print'.
To extend battery life, reduce screen brightness, close unused tabs and apps, and turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not needed. Use the Powerwash feature periodically to maintain performance.
Go to Settings > Device > Touchpad. Here, you can enable or disable the touchpad or adjust sensitivity settings as per your preference.
To take a screenshot of the entire screen, press Ctrl + Show Windows key. For a partial screenshot, press Ctrl + Shift + Show Windows key, then click and drag to select the area.
To use an external storage device, connect it via the USB port. Open the Files app, and your external device should appear in the left pane. Click to access files.
