To install ink cartridges, first open the printer cover. Wait for the cartridge holder to move to the replacement position. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing down and pulling it out. Insert the new cartridge into the holder at a slight angle and push up until it clicks into place. Close the printer cover.
To perform a print head alignment, press the 'Menu' button on the printer. Use the arrow keys to select 'Maintenance', then 'Head Alignment'. Press 'OK' and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.
First, check that the printer is powered on and connected to your computer. Ensure there is paper in the tray and that the ink cartridges are not empty. Run the printer's troubleshooting utility from your computer. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the printer drivers.
To clean the print head, access the printer's menu and navigate to 'Maintenance'. Select 'Nozzle Check' to see if cleaning is needed. If necessary, select 'Cleaning' or 'Deep Cleaning'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
The Canon Pixma MP950 does not support wireless printing natively. You would need to connect it to a computer via USB and then share the printer over a network from that computer.
To scan a document, place it on the scanner glass. Press the 'Scan' button on the printer. Select the type of scan you want to perform (e.g., photo or document). Follow the on-screen instructions on your computer to complete the scan.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the paper output tray and gently remove any jammed paper. Check the paper path for small bits of paper. Once cleared, close all covers and trays, plug in the printer, and turn it back on.
To replace the print head, turn off the printer and open the cover. Remove the ink cartridges and lift the locking lever on the print head holder. Take out the old print head and insert the new one. Lock the lever and reinstall the ink cartridges. Close the cover and turn on the printer.
Regular maintenance tasks include cleaning the print head, performing nozzle checks, replacing ink cartridges when needed, and checking for paper jams. It is also recommended to keep the printer's software and drivers up to date.
To reset the Canon Pixma MP950 to factory settings, press the 'Menu' button, navigate to 'Settings', and select 'Device Settings'. Choose 'Reset Setting', then 'All Settings'. Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart.
