The Canon Pixma MP480 does not support direct wireless connectivity. To print wirelessly, connect the printer to a computer that is on the same network and share the printer with other devices on the network.
Ensure that the printer is powered on, connected to your computer, and there are no error messages. Check for paper jams, ensure the ink cartridges are installed correctly, and verify that the printer is selected as the default printer in your computer settings.
To perform a print head alignment, load paper in the printer, press the 'Menu' button, navigate to 'Maintenance', and select 'Auto Head Align'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Press the 'Menu' button, navigate to 'Maintenance', and select 'Cleaning' or 'Deep Cleaning'. Follow the prompts to clean the print heads. Ensure you have enough ink before performing a deep clean.
Open the printer cover and wait for the cartridge holder to move to the replacement position. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing down and pulling it out. Insert the new cartridge into the slot and press up until it clicks into place.
Blurry prints can be due to a misaligned print head, clogged nozzles, or using non-compatible paper. Perform a print head alignment and cleaning, and ensure you are using the correct paper type and quality settings.
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Open the printer cover and gently remove any jammed paper. Check the rear tray and output slot for any remaining pieces of paper. Once cleared, close the cover and reconnect the printer.
Place the document on the scanner glass, press the 'Scan' button on the printer, and select the destination on your computer. Follow the software prompts to complete the scan. Ensure the appropriate software and drivers are installed on your computer.
To reset the Canon Pixma MP480, turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can resolve some minor issues with the device.
Regularly clean the exterior and interior of the printer using a soft, dry cloth. Perform print head cleaning and alignment periodically. Use genuine Canon ink cartridges and avoid paper jams by using the recommended paper types and sizes.
