To install the printer driver, first visit the Canon support website and download the latest driver compatible with your operating system. Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Ensure the printer is connected via USB during the process.
Check if the printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer. Ensure there is paper in the tray and the toner cartridge is not empty. You can also try restarting your computer and the printer. If the issue persists, reinstall the printer driver.
To manually print duplex, print the odd-numbered pages first, then flip the printed pages and print the even-numbered pages. Make sure to select the correct paper orientation in your print settings.
Regularly clean the exterior and interior using a lint-free cloth. For the scanner glass, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Avoid using any liquid directly on the printer. Refer to the user manual for detailed cleaning instructions.
Open the front cover and remove the used toner cartridge. Unpack the new cartridge and gently shake it to distribute the toner evenly. Insert it into the printer and close the cover. Follow the instructions in the user manual for detailed steps.
Ensure that you are using the correct paper type and size. Check for any obstructions in the paper tray and feed path. Regularly clean the rollers and ensure the paper is not damp or curled.
Place the document on the scanner glass, open the Canon software on your computer, and select the scan option. Choose your scan settings and initiate the scan. Save the scanned document to your desired location.
Press the Menu button on the printer, navigate to System Settings, and select Reset. Confirm the action to restore the printer to its factory settings. Note that this will erase all custom settings.
Check if the toner cartridge is installed correctly and not empty. Ensure the protective tape on the new toner cartridge has been removed. If necessary, replace the cartridge and try printing again.
Download the latest firmware from the Canon support website. Connect your printer to the computer, run the downloaded firmware update utility, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
