To perform a nozzle check, turn off the printer, press the Resume/Cancel button, then press and hold the Power button. While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button twice. Release both buttons, then press the Resume/Cancel button four times. Release the Power button to start the nozzle check.
First, perform a nozzle check to see if any colors are missing. If so, clean the print head using the printer's utility software. Repeat the cleaning cycle if necessary. Ensure you're using quality paper and the correct printer settings for your media.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the paper output cover and gently remove any jammed paper. Check for any torn pieces inside the printer. Close the cover, reload paper, and plug the printer back in.
For high-quality photo prints, use Canon's Photo Paper Pro, Photo Paper Plus Glossy, or other high-resolution glossy or matte photo paper that supports inkjet printing.
Open the printer cover and wait for the print head to move to the replacement position. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing the lever and lifting it out. Insert the new cartridge in its correct slot and press down until it clicks into place.
Check if the printer is turned on and connected to your computer. Ensure there is paper in the tray and ink in the cartridges. Verify that the print queue is not paused or stuck. Restart the printer and your computer if necessary.
Use the printer software on your computer. Go to the Maintenance tab and select 'Print Head Alignment'. Follow the on-screen instructions to print an alignment page and adjust the print head as needed.
Ensure that the ink cartridges are not empty and are installed correctly. Run a nozzle check to confirm ink is flowing properly. Clean the print head if necessary. Check your print settings to ensure the correct media type and size are selected.
Regularly clean the exterior with a damp cloth. Use the printer's software to perform print head cleaning and deep cleaning to maintain print quality. Avoid using harsh chemicals on the printer.
The Canon i9100 does not have built-in wireless capabilities. To print wirelessly, you can connect it to a wireless print server or use a computer connected to the printer and share it over a network.
