To install the driver, first download the latest version from Canon's official website. Connect your printer to the computer via USB. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer. Check for any error messages on the printer's display. Restart both the printer and the computer. If the issue persists, reinstall the printer driver.
To perform a nozzle check, ensure the printer is on and paper is loaded. Press and hold the RESUME button until the printer starts printing the nozzle check pattern. Examine the printout for any gaps or lines.
For optimal color printing results, use Canon High Resolution Paper or Glossy Photo Paper. Make sure to adjust the printer settings to match the paper type.
Turn the printer on and open the front cover. Wait for the cartridge holder to move to the replacement position. Remove the empty cartridge and install the new one, ensuring it clicks into place. Close the front cover.
Faded or streaky printouts may be due to low ink levels or clogged print nozzles. Check the ink status and perform a nozzle cleaning from the printer's maintenance menu.
Access the printer driver settings on your computer and select the maintenance tab. Choose 'Clean Print Head' and follow the prompts. Repeat if necessary, but avoid excessive cleaning to conserve ink.
Ensure you are using the correct paper type and size. Check the paper tray for any obstructions and make sure the paper is loaded correctly. Clean the paper feed rollers if needed.
The Canon BJC-55 printer does not support wireless printing natively. It requires a direct USB connection to the computer for standard printing tasks.
To reset the printer, turn it off and unplug the power cord. Wait for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in and turn the printer on. This can resolve minor software issues.
