To turn on the Yamaha PSS-190, locate the power switch on the top left side of the keyboard. Slide the switch to the "On" position. Ensure the keyboard is connected to a power source via the power adapter.
Check the volume setting and ensure it is turned up. Make sure headphones are not plugged in, as this will mute the speakers. Verify that the power adapter is securely connected. If issues persist, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting.
The Yamaha PSS-190 does not have a factory reset function. To clear settings, manually adjust individual settings or turn the keyboard off and back on.
The Yamaha PSS-190 can be powered by six "C" size batteries. Make sure to insert them correctly according to the polarity markings in the battery compartment.
Connect an audio cable from the headphone jack on the keyboard to the input of an external speaker system. Adjust the volume on both the keyboard and the speaker system.
Check if there is any debris obstructing the keys. If the problem persists, the contacts under the keys may need cleaning or repair, which should be done by a professional technician.
The Yamaha PSS-190 does not have a built-in recording feature. To record performances, connect the keyboard to an external recording device using the headphone output.
To change the voice, press the "Voice" button and use the numeric keypad to enter the desired voice number as indicated on the panel.
Keep the keyboard clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners. Regularly check the power adapter and battery compartment for any signs of wear or corrosion.
The Yamaha PSS-190 does not have a sustain pedal input. Sustain effects can be mimicked using certain sound settings or by playing technique.
