To connect the Xerox WorkCentre M123 to a network, access the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network Settings, and enter the necessary network details such as IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. Ensure that the printer is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable.
First, check if there are any error messages on the printer's display panel. Ensure that the printer is turned on, connected to the network, and has sufficient paper and toner. Restart the printer and check the print queue on your computer.
To perform manual duplex printing, print the odd pages first. Once complete, reload the printed pages into the paper tray with the printed side facing up and print the even pages.
Open the front cover of the printer and gently pull out the used toner cartridge. Remove the new toner cartridge from its packaging, shake it gently to distribute the toner, and insert it into the printer. Close the front cover securely.
Turn off the printer and carefully open the areas where paper might be jammed, such as the paper trays and the back panel. Gently pull out any stuck paper, ensuring no pieces are left inside. Close all covers and restart the printer.
Place the document face down on the scanner glass or in the document feeder. Access the scanning menu from the printer's control panel, select your desired scan settings, and initiate the scan job. The scanned document can be saved to a computer or USB drive.
Regularly clean the scanner glass, document feeder, and replace the toner cartridge when necessary. It's also important to update the printer's firmware and software to ensure optimal performance.
Access the printer's menu, navigate to the Admin Settings, and select 'Reset to Factory Defaults'. Confirm the reset operation, which will restore the printer to its original factory settings.
Refer to the user manual to decode the error message. Most issues can be resolved by restarting the printer or addressing specific problems like paper jams or network connectivity.
