To install the Xerox VersaLink C400 printer drivers, visit the Xerox official website, navigate to the Support section, search for VersaLink C400, and download the appropriate drivers for your operating system. Follow the installation instructions provided.
First, turn off the printer and carefully remove any jammed paper from the input and output trays. Open the printer covers and check for any debris or paper pieces. Refer to the user manual for detailed guidance on accessing jammed areas.
To perform a factory reset, access the control panel, navigate to the Admin menu, select System, and choose Reset to Factory Defaults. Confirm your selection and wait for the printer to reboot. This will erase all custom settings.
From the printer's control panel, go to the Network menu, select Wi-Fi, and choose the Setup Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password. Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the printer.
Check the toner cartridges to ensure they are installed properly and have sufficient toner. Run a cleaning cycle from the printer’s maintenance menu. If the issue persists, check for firmware updates or contact support.
Download the latest firmware from the Xerox website. Access the printer's control panel, go to the Firmware Update section, and select Install Update. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
Open the front cover of the printer, pull out the toner cartridge drawer, and carefully remove the used cartridge. Unpack the new cartridge, insert it into the correct slot, and close the drawer and cover.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the exterior and a dry cloth for the paper trays and covers. Avoid using harsh chemicals or sprays directly on the printer.
Go to the Apps menu on the control panel, select Scan to Email, and configure the SMTP server settings under the Email Setup menu. Input the sender’s email address and authentication details as required.
Ensure the new toner cartridge is compatible and properly seated. Reset the toner counter via the control panel by navigating to Admin Settings and selecting Reset Supplies. If the issue persists, contact Xerox support.
