To change the water filter, locate the filter at the bottom right of the refrigerator compartment. Turn the old filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. Run water through the dispenser for about 5 minutes to clear any air or contaminants.
Ensure that the vents inside the fridge are not blocked by food items. Check the temperature settings and adjust if necessary. Clean the condenser coils located at the back of the unit. If the problem persists, consider calling a technician for further diagnosis.
To reset the ice maker, locate the reset button on the side of the ice maker. Press and hold the button for about 10 seconds, or until you hear a chime. This will initiate a reset cycle.
Water pooling can be due to a clogged defrost drain. To fix this, unplug the refrigerator and locate the defrost drain. Clear any obstructions using warm water or a pipe cleaner. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or damaged.
Remove the shelves and bins from the refrigerator. Wash them with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before placing them back. Ensure all parts are completely dry to prevent mold growth.
The "OF OF" error code indicates that the refrigerator is in Demo Mode. To exit this mode, press and hold the "Energy Saver" and "Power Freeze" buttons simultaneously for about 3 seconds.
The refrigerator is equipped with automatic defrosting, so manual defrosting is not required. However, if you notice excessive frost buildup, ensure the door seals are intact and the doors close properly.
To adjust the temperature, press the "Fridge" or "Freezer" button on the control panel. Each press will cycle through available temperature settings. It's recommended to set the fridge at 37°F (3°C) and the freezer at 0°F (-18°C).
Check if the refrigerator is level and adjust the leveling legs if necessary. Ensure there are no items vibrating against the walls of the fridge. Listen to the type of noise, as a constant hum may be normal, but loud rattling may require service.
It is recommended to use Samsung-approved water filters to ensure compatibility and performance. Using other brands may not provide the same level of filtration and can potentially void the warranty.
