To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset. Confirm your selection and wait for the device to restart.
First, check your charger and cable for damage. Try using a different power outlet or charger. Clean the charging port of any debris. If the issue persists, restart your phone or perform a factory reset as a last resort.
Reduce screen brightness, close unnecessary apps running in the background, disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use, and enable Power Saving Mode.
