To install the Nextbase 222XR, attach the mount to the windscreen behind the rearview mirror using the adhesive pad. Slide the dash cam onto the mount and connect the power cable to your vehicle's 12V outlet. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.
Ensure that the power cable is securely connected and the 12V outlet is functioning. Try resetting the device by pressing the reset button located on the side of the camera. If the issue persists, check for any firmware updates or contact support.
Download the latest firmware from the Nextbase support website. Transfer the firmware file to a microSD card, insert it into the dash cam, and follow the on-screen instructions to update. Ensure the device is powered throughout the process.
The Nextbase 222XR is compatible with Class 10 microSD cards up to 128GB. It is recommended to use high-endurance cards for optimal performance and reliability.
Remove the microSD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Access the card like a removable drive and copy the video files to your computer.
Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or rough materials that could scratch the lens. Regular cleaning ensures clear video recording quality.
Ensure the lens is clean and adjust the camera angle for optimal view. Use a high-quality microSD card and keep the firmware updated to benefit from the latest performance improvements.
This could be due to a full or malfunctioning microSD card. Format the card using the dash cam's settings menu to resolve any file system issues. If the problem persists, try a different microSD card.
The dash cam can record when parked if connected to a continuous power source and parking mode is enabled. Ensure your vehicle supports this feature and configure settings accordingly.
To reset the dash cam to factory settings, navigate to the setup menu, select 'Default Settings,' and confirm your choice. This will restore all settings to their original state.
