To install the Nextbase 122HD Dash Cam, attach the mount to your windshield using the suction cup. Connect the power cable to the dash cam and plug it into your car’s power outlet. Adjust the camera angle for the best view of the road ahead.
If the Nextbase 122HD doesn't turn on, check the power connection. Ensure the power cable is securely plugged in and the car's outlet is working. Try resetting the dash cam by pressing the reset button. If the problem persists, consider replacing the power cable.
To improve video quality, ensure the lens is clean from dust and smudges. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the lens. Adjust the exposure settings in the menu if necessary to suit the lighting conditions.
To format the SD card, go to the settings menu on your Nextbase 122HD and select 'Format SD Card'. Confirm the action when prompted. This will erase all data on the card, so ensure important files are backed up.
If your dash cam isn't recording, check if the SD card is correctly inserted and has enough storage space. Ensure the card is not locked and is formatted correctly. Restart the device to see if it resolves the issue.
Download the latest firmware from the Nextbase website onto your computer. Transfer the firmware file to the root directory of your SD card. Insert the SD card into the dash cam and turn it on. The update should begin automatically.
For night recording, adjust the exposure settings to a higher value to capture more light. Ensure the windshield is clean to prevent glare and reflections. Consider using WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) if available to enhance recording quality in low light.
Remove the SD card from the dash cam and insert it into an SD card reader connected to your computer. Access the files through the file explorer and copy them to your desired location. Alternatively, use a USB cable to connect the dash cam directly to the computer and transfer files.
If the dash cam keeps rebooting, check the power supply for consistency. A faulty power cable or unstable power source can cause reboots. Try using a different power cable or outlet. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset to see if it resolves the problem.
To enable loop recording, access the settings menu on your dash cam and select 'Loop Recording'. Choose the preferred loop duration, such as 3, 5, or 10 minutes. This feature will overwrite the oldest files when the SD card is full.
