To install the Nextbase 222X, attach the mount to your windshield using the included adhesive pad or suction cup. Connect the dash cam to the mount, then run the power cable from the camera to the vehicle's 12V power outlet. Ensure the camera is positioned correctly to capture the road ahead.
To update the firmware, download the latest firmware from the Nextbase support website onto a formatted microSD card. Insert the card into the camera, turn it on, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the camera and the power source. Check the fuse in the car’s power outlet and the cable for any damage. If the problem persists, try a different power cable or contact Nextbase support.
Go to the camera menu, select 'Setup', then 'Format SD Card'. Confirm the action to format the card. Formatting will erase all data, so ensure important files are backed up before proceeding.
Check if the microSD card is inserted properly and has sufficient space. Ensure the card is not write-protected and is compatible (Class 10 minimum). Restart the camera and check the settings for any recording restrictions.
Access the camera menu, choose 'Setup', then 'G-sensor'. Adjust the sensitivity settings to Low, Medium, or High, depending on your driving conditions and preferences.
The 'Card Error' message indicates an issue with the microSD card. Try formatting the card in-camera, check if it's compatible, or replace it with a new one. Ensure it is a Class 10 card or higher for optimal performance.
Footage can be viewed directly on the camera's screen or by removing the microSD card and inserting it into a computer. Alternatively, connect the camera to a computer via USB and use the MyNextbase Connect software.
Parking Mode monitors your vehicle while parked. To enable it, go to the camera menu, select 'Setup', then 'Parking Mode'. Activate the feature, ensuring you have a suitable power supply to maintain functionality when the vehicle is off.
To reset to factory settings, access the menu, select 'Setup', then 'System Settings', and choose 'Default Settings'. Confirm the reset to restore the device to its original configuration.
