To install the Nextbase 122, attach the mount to the windscreen using the adhesive pad. Slide the dash cam onto the mount until it clicks into place. Connect the power cable to the dash cam and plug it into the car's power socket.
Ensure the power cable is securely connected. Check if the car's power socket is working by testing it with another device. If the dash cam still doesn't turn on, try a different power cable.
Download the latest firmware from the Nextbase website. Copy the firmware file to the microSD card. Insert the card into the dash cam and turn it on. The update will begin automatically.
Use a class 10 microSD card with a capacity between 8GB and 32GB for optimal performance. Ensure the card is formatted to FAT32 before use.
Go to the dash cam's menu, select 'Setup', then 'Format SD Card'. Confirm the action and wait for the formatting to complete. This will erase all data on the card.
Ensure the loop recording setting is enabled in the menu. Check that there is sufficient space on the microSD card. The card may need formatting if it has become full.
Remove the microSD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Alternatively, connect the dash cam directly to the computer using a USB cable to access the footage.
A solid blue light indicates the dash cam is powered on. A flashing blue light means it's recording. A red light signals an error or that the microSD card needs attention.
Yes, the Nextbase 122 can record at night, but image quality may vary depending on lighting conditions. It's recommended to use street-lit areas for better clarity.
To reset the dash cam, go to 'Setup' in the menu, select 'Default Settings', and confirm the reset. This will restore all settings to their original state.
