To install the Nextbase 380GWX, first attach the mount to the windshield using the adhesive pad. Connect the dash cam to the mount, ensuring it is securely fastened. Route the power cable along the vehicle's headliner and down to the 12V power socket. Plug in the power cable to start using the dash cam.
Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the power source. Ensure the vehicle's 12V socket is functioning. If the dash cam still doesn't turn on, try resetting it by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
Visit the Nextbase support website to download the latest firmware for the 380GWX. Transfer the firmware file to a microSD card. Insert the card into the dash cam, and turn it on. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Ensure the microSD card is correctly inserted and formatted. Check if the card is full and delete unnecessary files. Verify that the dash cam is powered on and in recording mode. If issues persist, try using a different microSD card.
To enable Wi-Fi, go to the dash cam's settings menu and select 'Wi-Fi'. Turn it on, and use your smartphone to connect to the Wi-Fi network broadcasted by the dash cam. Use the Nextbase app to access footage and settings.
Use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe the lens. Avoid using any abrasive materials or cleaning solutions that can damage the lens coating. Regular cleaning ensures clear video quality.
Remove the microSD card from the dash cam and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer. Alternatively, connect the dash cam directly to the computer using a USB cable. Transfer files using the file explorer.
Ensure that the power supply is stable and that the power cable is not damaged. Try updating the firmware to the latest version. If the problem persists, perform a factory reset from the settings menu.
The Nextbase 380GWX is designed to operate within a specific temperature range, typically -20°C to 45°C (-4°F to 113°F). Avoid exposing the dash cam to temperatures beyond this range to prevent damage.
Access the dash cam's settings menu and navigate to 'Parking Mode'. Adjust the sensitivity level according to your preference. Higher sensitivity detects even minor impacts, while lower sensitivity reduces false alarms.
