To reset your Lenovo V155-15API to factory settings, go to 'Settings' > 'Update & Security' > 'Recovery'. Under 'Reset this PC', click 'Get started' and choose the option to remove everything. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
First, ensure the battery is charged and the power adapter is properly connected. Try a power reset by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. If the issue persists, remove any peripherals and try again. If none of these steps work, consider consulting Lenovo support.
To upgrade the RAM, first turn off the laptop and remove the battery and power adapter. Unscrew the back panel to access the RAM slots. Carefully remove the existing RAM and insert the new RAM module, ensuring it's securely in place. Reattach the back panel and battery before turning on the device.
Common causes for slow performance include insufficient RAM, too many startup programs, or a cluttered hard drive. Consider upgrading the RAM, disabling unnecessary startup programs via Task Manager, and cleaning up disk space using built-in tools such as Disk Cleanup.
To connect to an external monitor, use an HDMI cable to connect the laptop's HDMI port to the monitor. Once connected, press 'Windows + P' and select the desired display mode, such as 'Duplicate', 'Extend', or 'Second screen only'.
Turn off the laptop and unplug it. Use a can of compressed air to blow out any debris from between the keys. For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with a mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the keys.
Visit the Lenovo Support website and navigate to the 'Drivers & Software' section. Enter your laptop model and download the latest drivers. Alternatively, use the Lenovo Vantage software installed on your laptop to automatically detect and install updates.
Download the latest BIOS update from the Lenovo Support website. Ensure your laptop is plugged in, then run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update. Do not turn off the laptop during the update process.
Check if the touchpad is disabled by pressing 'Fn + F6'. Ensure the touchpad drivers are up to date via Device Manager. If the problem continues, go to 'Settings' > 'Devices' > 'Touchpad' and check the settings.
Open 'Command Prompt' and type 'powercfg /batteryreport'. This will generate a battery report in the specified directory. Open the report to review detailed information about the battery's health and performance.
