To connect your ThinkPad P73 to an external monitor, use the HDMI or USB-C port. Connect your monitor using the appropriate cable, then go to Display Settings on your laptop to configure the display arrangement.
If your P73 won't power on, perform a hard reset by unplugging the power adapter, removing the battery, and holding the power button for 30 seconds. Then reconnect the battery and power adapter and try powering it on again.
To improve battery life, reduce screen brightness, close unnecessary applications, and use battery saver mode. Updating drivers and BIOS can also help optimize power management.
To update the BIOS, download the latest BIOS update from the Lenovo Support website. Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
To reset to factory settings, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Under 'Reset this PC', click 'Get Started' and choose 'Remove everything' to perform a full system reset.
Your P73 might be running slow due to background applications or insufficient RAM. Close unused applications, disable startup programs, and consider upgrading RAM if necessary. Performing a disk cleanup can also help.
To clean the fan, power off the laptop and remove the battery. Use compressed air to gently blow dust out of the fan vents. Avoid disassembling the laptop unless you are experienced with hardware maintenance.
Check if the touchpad is disabled by pressing the touchpad toggle function key (usually F6 or F8) or through the Windows Settings under Devices > Touchpad. Ensure drivers are up to date or reinstall them if necessary.
To enable virtualization, restart your P73 and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F1 during boot. Navigate to the 'Security' tab, select 'Virtualization', and enable 'Intel Virtualization Technology'. Save changes and exit.
To calibrate display color, go to Control Panel > Color Management. Under the 'Devices' tab, select your display and click 'Calibrate'. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust gamma, brightness, contrast, and color balance.
