To extend battery life, adjust the power settings to power saver mode, reduce screen brightness, and close unnecessary applications. Additionally, consider disabling Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use.
First, ensure the power adapter is connected correctly. Try holding the power button for 10 seconds to reset the system. If the laptop still does not turn on, check for any power indicator lights or consider performing a battery reset using the pinhole reset button.
Visit the Lenovo Support website, locate the ThinkBook 13s IWL model, and download the latest BIOS update. Follow the provided instructions to install the update, ensuring the laptop is connected to a power source during the process.
Use a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Gently wipe the screen in circular motions, avoiding excessive pressure. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
Ensure the Wi-Fi is enabled and airplane mode is off. Restart the router and the laptop. Update the Wi-Fi driver through Device Manager. If issues persist, try resetting the network settings or connecting to a different network.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Under "Reset this PC," click "Get started" and choose whether to keep your files or remove everything. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.
Check for any physical obstructions or debris under the keys. Restart the laptop to refresh system settings. If the issue remains, update the keyboard driver via Device Manager or connect an external keyboard to test functionality.
Power off the laptop and disconnect all cables. Remove the screws on the back panel to access the RAM slots. Carefully insert compatible RAM modules and secure the panel. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions and supported RAM specifications.
Ensure the laptop is on a hard, flat surface to allow airflow. Clean the vents with compressed air to remove dust buildup. Consider using a cooling pad and check for any resource-intensive applications that may be causing excessive heat.
Connect the second monitor via HDMI or USB-C to the laptop. Go to Display settings by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Display settings." Choose "Extend" under the multiple displays section to configure the second monitor.
