To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Under 'Reset this PC', click 'Get started' and follow the prompts to reset your laptop to its factory settings. Ensure you back up important data before proceeding.
First, check the power adapter and cable for any damage. Ensure the charging port is free of debris. Try using a different power outlet. If the issue persists, update the battery and power management drivers via the Lenovo Vantage app or the official Lenovo website.
To extend battery life, reduce screen brightness, close unnecessary applications, and use battery saver mode found in Settings > System > Battery. Also, avoid exposing the laptop to extreme temperatures and keep the system updated.
Connect the external monitor to your laptop using an HDMI or USB-C cable. Once connected, press Windows + P and select a display mode such as 'Duplicate', 'Extend', or 'Second screen only'.
Ensure that the cooling vents are not blocked and clean them with compressed air if needed. Use the laptop on hard surfaces and consider a cooling pad. Check for and install any BIOS and driver updates that may address thermal management.
Restart your router and laptop. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on your laptop. Update the wireless drivers via Device Manager or the Lenovo Vantage app. If problems persist, try resetting the network settings through Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network reset.
Use the Lenovo Vantage app to automatically check for and install driver updates. Alternatively, visit the Lenovo Support website, enter your model number, and download the latest drivers manually.
Update the graphics driver via Device Manager. Check for Windows updates and install them. Adjust the refresh rate by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting 'Display settings', then 'Advanced display settings', and choosing a different refresh rate.
Regularly update your operating system and drivers. Use disk cleanup tools to free up space, uninstall unnecessary applications, and consider upgrading RAM or storage if possible. Adjust power settings for performance under Control Panel > Power Options.
Turn off the laptop and unplug it. Use a can of compressed air to blow out debris from between the keys. For more thorough cleaning, dampen a microfiber cloth with water or isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the keys.
