To perform a factory reset, press the Novo button (a small button or pinhole next to the power button) when the laptop is off. Select "System Recovery" from the Novo Button Menu to access the recovery environment and follow the on-screen instructions.
First, ensure the laptop is charged or plugged in. Try a hard reset by removing the battery (if possible) and AC adapter, then press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. Reconnect power and try to turn it on again.
To improve battery life, reduce screen brightness, close unnecessary applications, disable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use, and use battery saver mode. Also, ensure your system is updated with the latest drivers and BIOS.
Visit the Lenovo Support website, enter your laptop model, and navigate to the 'Drivers & Software' section. Download and install the required drivers. Alternatively, use Lenovo Vantage to automatically update drivers.
First, restart your laptop. If the issue persists, update the touch screen driver via Device Manager. If it still doesn't work, try recalibrating the touch screen under Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
Click on the network icon in the taskbar, select the desired Wi-Fi network, and enter the password if required. Ensure the Wi-Fi is turned on via the keyboard shortcut (usually Fn + a function key).
Ensure the laptop is on a hard, flat surface to allow proper ventilation. Clean the vents and fans using compressed air. Check for and remove any resource-heavy applications running in the background. Consider using a cooling pad.
Turn off the laptop and disconnect all power sources. Remove the back panel screws and carefully detach the panel. Locate the RAM slots and gently insert the new RAM modules. Reattach the back panel and power on the laptop to ensure proper installation.
Open 'File Explorer', right-click on the drive you want to clean (usually C:), and select 'Properties'. Click on 'Disk Cleanup' and choose the files you want to delete. Confirm by clicking 'OK' and then 'Delete Files'.
Run a virus scan to check for malware. Uninstall unnecessary programs, disable startup programs via Task Manager, and ensure your system is updated. Consider upgrading hardware like RAM or switching to an SSD for better performance.
