To change the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the temperature for both the fridge and freezer compartments.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in properly and the power is on. Ensure the doors are fully closed and the seals are not damaged. Verify that the temperature settings are correct and the vents inside are not blocked.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every 6 months to ensure optimal performance. Use a vacuum cleaner or a brush to remove dust and debris.
To defrost the freezer, remove all food items, unplug the refrigerator, and leave the freezer door open. Place towels on the floor to catch water from the melting ice. Once defrosted, wipe the interior dry before plugging the refrigerator back in.
Ensure the refrigerator is level and on a stable surface. Check for any loose items inside that may vibrate. Make sure the refrigerator is not touching the wall or other furniture.
Water pooling can be due to a blocked defrost drain. Check and clean the drain located at the back of the refrigerator to ensure proper drainage.
To replace the light bulb, unplug the refrigerator, remove the cover over the light, and unscrew the old bulb. Replace it with a new bulb of the same type and wattage, then reattach the cover.
If the door seal is damaged, it should be replaced to maintain efficiency. Contact Kenwood customer service for the correct replacement part and instructions.
Keep the refrigerator in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from heat sources. Ensure the door seals are intact and avoid opening the doors frequently. Maintain recommended temperature settings and defrost regularly.
The ideal temperature setting for the refrigerator compartment is between 3°C and 5°C, while the freezer should be set to -18°C for optimal food preservation.
