To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds until the lock indicator lights up. This will prevent any changes to the settings while it is active.
First, ensure that the cooktop is properly connected to the power supply. Check if the cookware is compatible and properly positioned on the induction zone. If the issue persists, contact Hoover customer support for further assistance.
To clean the surface, wait for the cooktop to cool down, then use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or sharp objects to prevent scratches.
The power management feature allows you to adjust the total power consumption of the cooktop to suit your home’s power limits. You can set it through the control panel as per the instructions in the user manual.
A buzzing noise can occur when cooking at high power levels. It is often caused by the interaction between the induction field and the metal cookware and is generally normal. If the noise is excessive, try using different cookware.
To reset the cooktop, turn it off and unplug it from the power source for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. This should reset the electronics.
Use flat-bottomed, induction-compatible cookware made of magnetic stainless steel, enamelled steel, or iron. You can test compatibility with a magnet; if it sticks to the base, the cookware is suitable.
Use the touch controls on the cooktop to select the cooking zone, then adjust the power level and set the timer using the '+' and '-' buttons as per your cooking requirements.
Check if the child lock is activated, which might cause the panel to be unresponsive. If it's not locked, try resetting the cooktop. If the issue continues, contact customer support.
Select the desired cooking zone and press the boost button. The power level will temporarily increase to maximum for quicker heating.
