To reset your Hoover DDY 062B-80 dishwasher, press and hold the "Start/Reset" button for about 3 seconds until the indicator lights turn off. This will clear any current program and reset the appliance.
Check for blockages in the filter and drain hose. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher and remove any debris.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Check the power connection and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Verify the water supply is turned on and the inlet hose is not blocked.
Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as rinse aid helps water to sheet off dishes. Selecting a higher drying setting or using a longer washing cycle can also improve drying results.
Regularly clean the filter, spray arms, and door seals. Check and clean the inlet hose filter to prevent blockages. Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to remove limescale buildup.
Remove the spray arms by unscrewing them or snapping them out of place. Rinse under warm water and use a toothpick to clear any blocked holes. Reattach securely before using the dishwasher.
Residue may be caused by using too much or too little detergent, or hard water. Ensure the correct amount of detergent is used and fill the rinse aid dispenser. Consider using a water softener if you have hard water.
Ensure that the dishwasher is level and stable. Tighten any loose screws or fittings. Check that spray arms are not hitting dishes and that there are no foreign objects in the filter or pump area.
Cycling time can increase due to low water temperature, selecting intensive wash programs, or adding extra features like drying. Ensure your water heater is set to at least 120°F (49°C).
Refer to the user manual for specific error code meanings. Common solutions include checking water supply, ensuring door closure, and clearing filters or hoses. Reset the dishwasher if needed.
