To start a wash cycle, load your dishes into the dishwasher, add the appropriate amount of detergent, close the door securely, select your desired wash cycle using the control panel, and press the start button.
Check for any blockages in the drain hose or filter. Make sure the drain hose is not kinked and is installed at the correct height. Clean the filter and remove any debris. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter assembly. Twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris, and then reinstall it by twisting it clockwise until it locks into place.
For optimal cleaning, place large items and pots on the bottom rack and smaller items like cups and glasses on the top rack. Ensure that dishes do not block the spray arms and that they are not nested together.
Ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is not tripped. Check if the door is securely closed and the latch is engaged. Also, verify that you have selected a cycle and pressed the start button.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, checking and cleaning the spray arms, inspecting and cleaning the door seal, and running a cleaning cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to remove any buildup.
Open the rinse aid dispenser cover and use a coin or screwdriver to adjust the dial to the desired setting. Higher settings dispense more rinse aid, which can help with drying and preventing spots, especially in hard water areas.
Residue can be caused by using too much or too little detergent, blocked spray arms, or hard water. Try adjusting the detergent amount, cleaning the spray arms, and using a rinse aid. Consider using a dishwasher cleaning agent to remove any buildup.
Unusual noises may be due to items obstructing the spray arms or loose items in the dishwasher. Check and rearrange the dishes to ensure nothing is interfering with the spray arms. If noises persist, inspect the pump and motor for any issues.
To prevent odors, clean the filter regularly, ensure the dishwasher is draining properly, and occasionally run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or vinegar. Ensure dishes are not left sitting for long periods before running a cycle.
