To reset the Denon AVR-1712, turn off the unit using the power button. Hold the "Power" button and "Source Select" button simultaneously for a few seconds until the display shows "Initialized". Release the buttons to complete the reset.
First, check the speaker connections and ensure they are secure. Verify that the correct input source is selected and that the volume is turned up. Check if the "Mute" function is activated. If the issue persists, consider resetting the microprocessor.
