Open the printer cover and remove the used ribbon. Insert the new ribbon onto the ribbon spindles and follow the path indicated inside the printer. Close the cover and perform a test print.
Turn off the printer and open the printhead mechanism. Use a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the printhead surface. Allow the printhead to dry completely before closing and using the printer.
Check if the printhead is clean and properly aligned. Ensure that the ribbon and media are correctly installed. Adjust the print density settings in the printer driver if necessary.
Ensure the ribbon is correctly installed and not wrinkled. Check the ribbon sensor for any obstructions and recalibrate the printer. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or seek technical support.
Download the latest firmware from the Citizen website. Connect the printer to your computer and use the provided utility software to upload and install the new firmware. Follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
