To load labels, open the top cover, place the label roll on the media holder, and feed the labels through the guides. Ensure the labels are aligned with the sensor before closing the cover.
Check that the printer is powered on, connected to the computer, and that the printer driver is installed correctly. Also, ensure there is paper loaded and no error lights are flashing.
To calibrate, turn off the printer, press and hold the feed button, and then turn on the printer. Release the button when the status light flashes. The printer will feed and calibrate the media.
Turn off the printer, press and hold the feed button, and then turn the printer back on. Release the feed button when the status light turns solid. A self-test page will print.
Regularly clean the print head with a cleaning pen, ensure the platen roller is free from debris, and check the cutter mechanism if equipped. Perform these tasks every few months or as needed.
To reset, turn off the printer, press and hold the pause and cancel buttons simultaneously, and then turn on the printer. Release the buttons when the status light blinks.
The printer can print on various media types, including labels, tags, and continuous media. Ensure media is within the supported width and thickness specifications.
Check that the print head is clean and free from debris. Ensure the media type and print settings match. Adjust the darkness setting in the printer driver if necessary.
Ensure the labels are loaded correctly and the guides are adjusted properly. Check for any obstructions in the media path or worn out parts that may need replacement.
Download the latest firmware from the Citizen website, connect the printer to your computer via USB, and run the firmware update utility following the provided instructions.
