Casio TK-6000 User's Manual
To perform a basic setup, first turn on the register by plugging it into a power source. Set the mode switch to "PGM" (program) and follow the on-screen instructions to set the date, time, and tax rate.
To reset the register to factory settings, turn the key to the "P" mode and press the "Subtotal" button followed by '1' and 'CASH'. This will clear all programming and return the machine to its default settings.
First, check if the paper roll is correctly installed and has not run out. Ensure the thermal printer cover is closed properly. If the problem persists, check the printer settings and replace the ink ribbon if necessary.
To program a new item, switch to "PGM" mode, select "PLU" programming, enter the PLU number, and then input the item details such as price and description. Save the entry by pressing the "Subtotal" button.
Refer to the error code displayed on the screen. Common solutions include checking the cash register mode, ensuring all connections are secure, and consulting the user manual for specific error codes.
Open the printer cover, remove the used paper roll, and insert a new roll with the paper feeding from the bottom. Pull the paper to the edge of the cutter and close the cover securely.
Turn the mode key to "X" or "Z" (depending on the report type needed), and press the "Cash" button to generate the report. "X" provides a reading without resetting totals, while "Z" resets the totals after printing.
Switch to "PGM" mode, navigate to the tax rate settings, enter the new tax rate, and confirm by pressing "Cash" or "Subtotal." Ensure the rate is updated for all applicable departments.
Ensure the register is in the correct mode and that it has power. Check if the drawer is locked manually. If the issue persists, inspect the drawer connection to the register and try opening it manually with the emergency key.
Regularly clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Ensure the printer and keyboard areas are free of dust and debris. Periodically check the condition of the paper roll and ink ribbon.
