To perform a basic setup, first plug in the cash register and turn it on. Set the date and time by turning the key to the 'PGM' position, select '1' for date/time setup, and enter the date in the format MMDDYY and time in HHMM. Press the subtotal button to confirm.
To change the receipt header, turn the key to the 'PGM' position, navigate to option '2' for programming, and follow the prompts to enter your new header text using the keypad. Confirm changes with the subtotal button.
First, ensure the paper roll is correctly installed and not empty. Open the printer cover, remove the paper roll, and reload it ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom. Close the cover and test. If the issue persists, check for paper jams or reset the printer by turning it off and on.
To clear an error message, turn the key to the 'REG' position, then press the 'C' button. If the error persists, turn the machine off and on again. Ensure that the key is set to the correct position for the desired operation.
To reset the register to default settings, turn the key to the 'PGM' position, and press the '0' key followed by the subtotal button. This will reset the register, but all data will be lost, so ensure you have backups if needed.
Open the printer cover and gently remove the old ink ribbon. Insert the new ribbon cartridge, ensuring it clicks into place. Rotate the knob on the ribbon to tighten it, and close the printer cover. Test by printing a receipt to ensure proper installation.
Turn the key to the 'PGM' position, select '3' for tax programming, and enter the tax rate you need to set using the keypad. Press the 'CA/AMT' button to save the setting. Repeat for additional tax rates if necessary.
To generate a sales report, turn the key to the 'Z' position and press the cash button. The machine will print a detailed report of the day's sales. Ensure all sales are finalized before generating this report.
Turn the key to the 'PGM' position, select '2' for program mode, and enter the product code followed by the price. Assign the product to a department and confirm with the subtotal button.
Check if the register is powered on and the key is in the correct position. If the problem persists, turn off the register and unplug it. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. If the issue continues, consult the user manual or contact support.
