To load paper, open the paper tray, adjust the guides to match the paper size, and place the paper stack neatly into the tray. Ensure the stack is aligned and below the maximum fill line.
First, open the paper path cover and gently remove any jammed paper. Follow the printer's touchscreen instructions for guidance. Always pull the paper in the direction of the paper path to avoid damage.
Regularly clean the scanner glass, feed rollers, and check the toner levels. Use the printer's maintenance menu to perform automated cleaning cycles as needed.
Ensure that the correct paper type is selected for your print job. Perform a printhead cleaning cycle via the printer settings. Check the toner and replace if necessary.
Access the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings, and follow the prompts to connect to a wired or wireless network. You may need your network's SSID and password.
Open the toner access door, carefully remove the empty toner cartridge, and insert a new one. Make sure it clicks into place, then close the door and follow any additional instructions on the display.
Check Canon's official website for the latest firmware version. Download it to a USB drive, insert the drive into the printer's USB port, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the printer and a functioning power outlet. Check the circuit breaker or fuse if the outlet has no power. If the issue persists, contact Canon support.
Access the printer settings from the control panel or your computer's print dialog, and enable duplex printing. Ensure the paper type supports double-sided printing.
Store the printer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation, and remove paper and toner cartridges if possible to avoid deterioration.
