To load paper, open the paper cover and align the paper with the guide lines. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper and close the cover. Ensure the paper type is set correctly on the printer's control panel.
Check that the power cable is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet. Ensure the power outlet is functioning by testing with another device. If the printer still does not turn on, consult the user manual or contact Canon support.
Access the printer's menu and navigate to 'Adjustment/Maintenance'. Select 'Head Alignment' and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process. This helps improve print quality.
Open the ink tank cover and press the tab on the empty ink tank to release it. Remove the tank and insert a new one, ensuring it clicks into place. Close the cover and allow the printer to initialize the new ink tank.
Turn off the printer and gently remove any jammed paper by pulling it in the direction of the paper path. Check for any small pieces of paper left inside. Once cleared, turn the printer back on and perform a test print.
Regularly clean the exterior and interior components, such as the platen and feed rollers. Perform print head cleanings and alignments as needed. Replace ink tanks and maintenance cartridges when prompted by the printer.
Check that the print head is clean and aligned. Ensure you are using the correct paper type settings. Perform a nozzle check to identify any clogged nozzles and clean them if necessary. Use high-quality media for best results.
