The Canon Pixma MP470 does not support wireless connectivity directly. To use it wirelessly, connect it to a computer via USB and share the printer over the network.
Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to your computer. Check for paper jams and ensure ink cartridges are properly installed. Update or reinstall the printer driver if necessary.
To align the print head, go to the printer's maintenance menu from the control panel, select 'Align Print Head', and follow the on-screen instructions.
Open the front cover, wait for the cartridge holder to move to the replacement position, remove the empty cartridge, and insert a new one until it clicks into place.
Check if the ink cartridges are empty or clogged. Run a nozzle check and cleaning cycle from the printer's maintenance menu.
Place the document on the scanner glass, open the Canon software on your computer, select 'Scan', and follow the software prompts to complete the scan.
PictBridge allows direct printing from a camera to the printer without a computer. Connect your PictBridge-compatible camera to the printer via USB and follow the camera's instructions to print.
To manually clean the print head, remove it from the printer, gently wipe with a lint-free cloth and distilled water, and let it dry completely before reinserting.
The Canon MP470 does not support automatic duplex printing. You can manually print on both sides by selecting 'Manual Duplex' in the printer settings and following on-screen instructions.
To reset the printer, turn it off, press and hold the 'Stop/Reset' button, then press 'Power' and release 'Stop/Reset'. While holding 'Power', press 'Stop/Reset' twice, release all buttons, and turn the printer back on.
