To connect your Canon Pixma iP100 to a wireless network, you need the optional Bluetooth Unit BU-30. After installing the unit, enable Bluetooth on the printer, and then pair it with your device through your computer's Bluetooth settings.
First, ensure that the printer is powered on and connected to your computer. Check for any error messages on the printer's display. If there are no errors, verify that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and have sufficient ink. Finally, check your printer’s queue and clear any stalled print jobs.
To perform a nozzle check, turn on the printer and load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper. Press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL button until the power lamp flashes twice, then release it. The printer will print a nozzle check pattern to help you assess print quality.
Load plain paper in the printer. Access the printer driver setup window on your computer and select 'Cleaning' from the Maintenance tab. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the print head and improve print quality.
For the best print quality, use genuine Canon photo paper. The printer supports various types of Canon paper, including Photo Paper Pro Platinum, Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, and Matte Photo Paper.
If your printer is printing blank pages, check the ink levels and replace any empty cartridges. Ensure that the cartridges are installed correctly and that the protective tape has been removed from the new cartridges. Perform a print head cleaning if necessary.
To print from a mobile device, ensure that your device supports Bluetooth printing and that the optional Bluetooth Unit BU-30 is installed in the printer. Pair your mobile device with the printer via Bluetooth and use a compatible printing app to send print jobs.
Perform a print head cleaning to clear any clogs. If the issue persists, try a deep cleaning. Also, make sure you are using compatible paper types and check that the paper is loaded correctly.
Turn on the printer and open the front cover. Wait for the print head holder to move to the replacement position. Remove the empty cartridge by pressing the tab and lifting it out. Insert a new cartridge, ensuring it clicks into place, then close the cover.
While third-party ink cartridges may be used, it is recommended to use genuine Canon ink to ensure optimal print quality and maintain the warranty. Third-party inks may cause printing issues or damage the printer.
