To install the driver, download it from Canon's official website. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. Connect the printer to your computer when prompted.
Check the printer's power connection, ensure it's turned on, and verify that the USB or network cable is securely connected. Restart both the printer and your computer. If the issue persists, reinstall the printer driver.
Access the printer's settings on your computer, navigate to the maintenance section, and select 'Clean Print Head'. Follow the prompts to complete the cleaning process.
Canon recommends using high-quality plain paper or Canon's own photo paper for best results. Avoid using paper that is too thick or too thin to prevent jams and poor print quality.
Open the printer cover to access the ink cartridge holder. Press the tab to release the old cartridge and remove it. Insert the new cartridge into the holder and push until it clicks into place. Close the printer cover.
Streaks or lines in prints may be due to clogged print heads. Perform a print head cleaning through the printer's maintenance settings. If the problem persists, check the ink levels and replace any low cartridges.
Insert the memory card into the appropriate slot on the printer. Use the printer's control panel to select the photos you want to print and adjust any settings before printing.
Ensure that the ink cartridges are not empty and are installed correctly. Run a nozzle check from the printer's maintenance settings to ensure that the print heads are functioning properly.
The Canon i905D does not have built-in wireless capabilities. However, you can connect it to a wireless print server to enable wireless printing.
Regular maintenance should include cleaning the print heads and checking for firmware updates every few months. Additionally, perform a deep cleaning if print quality issues arise.
