To connect your Brother DCP-J525W printer to a wireless network, press the Menu button on the printer, navigate to Network, and select WLAN. Choose Setup Wizard, and follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
First, turn off the printer and unplug it. Open the front cover and remove the jammed paper carefully. Check the paper tray and the back of the printer for any remaining pieces. Reassemble and test the printer after clearing all jams.
Ensure that the printer is turned on, connected to the computer, and that there is no error message on the display. Check the printer queue and clear any stuck print jobs. Ensure that you have selected the correct printer in your software settings.
Access the printer's menu, select Ink, then choose Cleaning. Select Black, Color, or All depending on which nozzles are clogged. The printer will perform a cleaning cycle, which may need to be repeated for better results.
Check if the ink cartridges are empty or improperly installed. Perform a print head cleaning cycle. Verify that the paper settings in the printer driver match the paper loaded in the printer.
Open the ink cartridge cover located on the right side of the printer. Press the lock release lever to remove the empty cartridge and insert the new one. Make sure it clicks into place, then close the cover.
Visit the Brother support website and download the latest firmware update for the DCP-J525W. Follow the instructions provided with the download to update the firmware via USB connection.
Ensure that the USB cable is securely connected and try a different USB port. Update the printer driver from the Brother website. Restart both the printer and the computer. If using wireless, check the network connection.
Press the Menu button, navigate to Initial Setup, and select Reset. Choose the reset option you need, such as Network or All Settings, and confirm the reset. This will restore the printer to its factory settings.
Place the document on the scanner glass, press the Scan button, and select the desired scan option (e.g., to email or file). Follow the prompts to complete the scanning process. Make sure the Brother software is installed on your computer.
