To perform a factory reset on your ASUS V221, restart the computer and press F9 repeatedly during boot up. Follow the on-screen instructions to restore the system to its factory settings.
First, check if the power cable is properly connected. Try using a different power outlet. If the computer still doesn't turn on, perform a power cycle by unplugging the power cable, holding the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnecting the power cable and turning it on.
Upgrading the RAM on the ASUS V221 requires opening the back panel. Ensure the computer is powered off and unplugged. Remove the screws from the back panel, locate the RAM slots, and insert the new RAM modules. Reattach the panel and power on the computer.
Your ASUS V221 might be slow due to insufficient RAM, too many startup programs, or malware. Try reducing startup programs, running a malware scan, and upgrading your RAM if necessary.
Click on the network icon in the system tray, select your Wi-Fi network from the list, and enter the password if prompted. Ensure that the Wi-Fi is turned on in the settings.
If the screen is flickering, check for driver updates for your graphics card. Adjusting the refresh rate and updating the display drivers through Device Manager can also help.
Turn off and unplug your computer, then open the back panel. Use compressed air to gently blow dust out of the fans and vents. Reattach the back panel before turning the computer back on.
Visit the ASUS support website, download the latest BIOS file for the V221, and save it to a USB drive. Restart your computer, enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2, and use the EZ Flash utility to update the BIOS from the USB drive.
Check for any physical obstructions or debris under the keys. If the issue persists, try updating the keyboard drivers via Device Manager or connecting an external keyboard to test functionality.
Connect the second monitor to the HDMI port on your ASUS V221. Right-click on the desktop, select 'Display settings', and configure the display orientation and resolution as needed.
