To enhance gaming performance, ensure that your GPU drivers are up to date, enable high-performance mode in the power settings, and use ASUS Armoury Crate for optimizing system settings. Additionally, consider upgrading the RAM to a dual-channel configuration for better performance.
If your laptop overheats, make sure the vents are not blocked and use a cooling pad. Regularly clean the fans and vents from dust. You can also adjust the fan speed using ASUS Armoury Crate and lower the in-game settings to reduce heat generation.
To update the BIOS, download the latest BIOS version from the ASUS support website. Transfer the file to a USB drive, reboot the laptop, and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F2 during startup. Use the EZ Flash Utility to select the BIOS file from the USB drive and proceed with the update.
If the laptop won't turn on, ensure it is connected to a power source. Try a hard reset by holding the power button for 10-15 seconds. Check for any LED indicators or charging lights. If the issue persists, consider removing the battery (if possible) and reattaching it after a few minutes.
To extend battery life, reduce screen brightness, disable unnecessary background applications, and use battery saver mode. Also, consider calibrating your battery periodically and avoid keeping the laptop plugged in at 100% for extended periods.
To perform a factory reset, go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery and select 'Get started' under Reset this PC. Choose whether to keep your files or remove everything and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
To clean the keyboard, turn off the laptop and use a can of compressed air to remove dust and debris. For stubborn stains, lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe the keys. Avoid using too much liquid to prevent damage.
To upgrade the RAM, power off the laptop and remove the back panel screws. Locate the RAM slots and insert the new RAM module, ensuring it clicks into place. Replace the back panel and screws, then power on the laptop to verify the new RAM is recognized.
Check if the touchpad is disabled by pressing the F6 key or the key combination for enabling/disabling the touchpad. If it is still not working, update or reinstall the touchpad drivers via Device Manager. Restart the laptop to apply changes.
Connect the external monitor to the laptop using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable. Press the Windows key + P to open the display options and select the desired mode (Duplicate, Extend, etc.). Adjust the display settings if necessary to configure the resolution and orientation.
