To update the BIOS on your ASUS S700TA, download the latest BIOS version from the ASUS support website, extract the files, and use the ASUS EZ Flash Utility found in the BIOS setup to complete the update.
Ensure that the cooling fan is working properly, clean dust from the vents, check for proper thermal paste application, and ensure that the CPU is not overclocked beyond safe limits.
To reset the CMOS, turn off the computer, unplug it, and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for a few minutes before reinserting it. Alternatively, use the CMOS jumper if available.
Power down the system and unplug it. Open the case, locate the RAM slots, and insert the new RAM modules ensuring they are properly seated. Close the case and power on the system to check for successful installation.
Check that all hardware components are properly connected, ensure the RAM and GPU are seated correctly, and verify that the PSU is adequate for the new hardware. Also, check for any POST error codes.
Upgrade the RAM, switch to an SSD for faster data access, update all drivers, and optimize the operating system by disabling unnecessary startup programs and services.
Inspect the fans for any obstructions or damage, check all moving parts, and ensure the hard drive is not failing. Tighten any loose screws and make sure the case is properly closed.
Ensure your graphics card supports dual monitors, then connect the monitors to the available video outputs. Configure the display settings in your operating system to extend or duplicate the display.
Check the network cable and connections, ensure the network adapter is enabled, update the network drivers, and verify the network settings. Restart the router if necessary.
Turn off and unplug the system, use compressed air to blow out dust from vents and fans, wipe surfaces with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid using liquids directly on the components.
