To improve battery life, reduce screen brightness, turn off keyboard backlighting, close unused applications, and enable power-saving modes in Windows settings. Regularly updating drivers and BIOS can also help optimize power efficiency.
Ensure the laptop is placed on a hard, flat surface to allow proper ventilation. Clean the vents and fans using compressed air to remove dust accumulation. Consider using a cooling pad and ensure the BIOS and drivers are up to date.
To upgrade RAM, turn off the laptop and remove the battery. Unscrew and remove the back panel. Locate the RAM slots and carefully insert the new RAM module into an empty slot, ensuring it's properly seated. Reattach the back panel and battery before powering on the laptop.
Check if the laptop is properly charged or connected to a power source. Try a hard reset by removing the battery and power cord, then pressing the power button for 30 seconds. Reconnect and attempt to boot. If issues persist, check RAM and storage connections or consult a technician.
To reset to factory settings, go to 'Settings' > 'Update & Security' > 'Recovery'. Choose 'Reset this PC' and select 'Remove everything' for a full reset. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. Ensure to back up important data before resetting.
Use a can of compressed air to blow out dust and debris from the keyboard. For deeper cleaning, turn off the laptop, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe the keys, and a dry cloth to remove any moisture. Avoid liquid cleaners directly on the keyboard.
Update the graphics drivers through the Device Manager. Check the screen refresh rate settings under 'Display Settings' and adjust if necessary. If the problem persists, test the laptop with an external monitor to determine if the issue is with the screen or graphics card.
Connect an HDMI or VGA cable from the laptop to the external monitor. Press 'Fn' + 'F8' to toggle between display modes. Adjust display settings in 'Display Settings' to extend or duplicate the screen as desired.
Turn off the laptop and remove the battery. Unscrew and remove the back panel. Locate the storage bay and remove the existing drive if necessary. Insert the SSD into the drive bay, secure it with screws, and reattach the back panel and battery before booting up the laptop.
Visit the ASUS support website and enter your laptop model to find the latest drivers. Download and install the necessary drivers, preferably in the order of chipset, graphics, audio, and network drivers. Restart the laptop after each installation to ensure proper integration.
